Cookie Policy
What this website stores in your browser, why it is used, and how you can manage your choices.

About this policy
This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage on the Thorntech Fire & Security website. The website is operated by Thorntech (South West) Ltd, company number 13616892. For information about personal information and your rights, read our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. They can remember a choice, support website functions or help a service recognise a browser. Some expire when you close the browser; others remain for a specified period.
Local storage is a different way to save information in your browser. Unlike a cookie, a local-storage entry is not automatically sent with each request to the website. We describe relevant browser storage below as well as cookies.
The current cookie and storage inventory
- cookieadmin_consent — necessary cookie. Set by this website after you save a consent choice. It remembers whether you accepted, rejected or customised cookie categories, so the banner can respect your choice. It lasts for up to 365 days unless you clear it or replace it by saving a new choice.
- brx_mode — display preference in local storage. The Bricks theme checks for a saved display-mode preference under this name. An entry may be present if a display preference has been saved in your browser. It remains until changed or cleared and is not an analytics or advertising cookie.
No analytics or advertising cookies are currently configured on the public website. The cookie banner can show optional categories even when no cookies are currently listed in those categories. We will update this policy and the consent configuration if the site’s use of these technologies changes.
Necessary and optional categories
Necessary: technologies needed for requested functions, security or remembering your privacy choices. The consent-preference cookie is in this category and is not switched off by rejecting optional cookies.
Functional, analytics and advertising: optional categories offered in the preferences panel. Functional technologies can support additional features; analytics can measure use; advertising can support advertising or profiling. Optional categories are off by default. There are currently no optional cookies configured on the public website; the consent-preference cookie is necessary.
Choosing a category does not mean this website currently uses every type of technology described by that category.
Security services and external resources
Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the website. Depending on a security check or challenge, it may use a security cookie. Where a security cookie is used, its behaviour and lifetime depend on the relevant security feature.
The website also includes a Cloudflare JavaScript beacon for website usage and browser-performance measurement. Cloudflare describes this measurement as using no cookies or local storage for usage metrics. A cookie-free beacon is different from a cookie and is separate from Google Analytics. The optional cookie controls in this banner do not disable this Cloudflare performance beacon. Our Privacy Policy explains the related information handling.
The website uses locally hosted font files, so displaying public page fonts does not require a request to Google Fonts. Authenticated WordPress administration uses separate login and security cookies; these are not part of the ordinary public browsing experience.
How to change or withdraw your choices
Use Accept all to allow the optional categories, Reject optional to leave them off, or Cookie settings to choose categories individually and save your preferences. The Cookie settings control in the footer and on this page reopens the same panel after a choice has been saved.
You can change or withdraw optional consent at any time. The site reloads after a new choice is saved so the changed settings can apply. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already happened.
You can also delete cookies and local storage using your browser’s privacy settings. Clearing the consent cookie causes the banner to ask again. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent the site from remembering your choices.
